MÍRIAM
PRESTES DE OXALÁ,
was born in 01.01.1961 e CARIL
JAMES DE XANGÔ, was born in 24.03.62,
both in Porto Alegre (RS). They had come of cradle
of leading spirituals. The first one is
the fourth generation of
spiritist controllers and the second one
is the third
generation of umbandistas leadings. Therefore, both,
since early, had lived in home whose religious practical
and knowledge were very usual.
As
friends and brothers, they had frequented the
Sociedade Espírita de Umbanda Nossa Senhora
dos Navegantes as spiritualistic mediuns for many
years together
and had made brief stableness for the
Batuque (Nação) gaúcho.
Some years later, was necessary to build their
own temple (terreiro, terreira) whose acquired ideals
and knowledge would be rank in practical.
Míriam,
shared in Preto-Velho Estefano do Oriente and
Caril,
shared in Caboclo Ogum dos Ventos as their spiritual
guides, divide materially and spiritually the Tenda
de Umbanda Ogum e Oxalá as leaders,
one of the most beautiful temple (terreiro) of
Rio Grande
do Sul (Brazil) and currently, the just-servant Instituto
Caminhos do Oriente.
The
Tenda de Umbanda Ogum e Oxalá
was stablished in 1997 in Viamão city
(RS) and, thanks to its spiritualistic mediuns
and
collaborators,
today have 200m2 of constructed area in two lands
(with total area of 600m2) and same area of private
parking. Currently,
beyond commemorative and festive dates, promotes FREE
public séances and attendance, as well as
monthly séances to Povo do Oriente, of notable
spiritual treatments.
